CRIMEA MEDAL TOP BROOCHES BY T.B. BAILEY OF COVENTRY :
Manufactured by T.B. Bailey of Coventry and registered 10 October 1856 primarily for use with the medals of the Crimea War, this example is slightly wider to accommodate a ribbon of 34mm in width and would therefore be suitable for use with the Knight's Badge of the Turkish Order of the Medjidieh and the French awards commonly bestowed upon British Officers and men for service in the Crimea : Hallmarks for Birmingham 1856, lugs present on reverse to accept a split-pin for wear.
