British War Medal, Victory Medal 1914-19, Territorial Force War Medal 1914-19 (1918 Pte. Welsh R.) : (CLIFFORD EPTON INGRAM - Born May 1897 at Aberdare, South Wales and shown in the 1911 Census as a boot repairer residing at 25 Cross Street, Aberdare : Entered the war in Gallipoli via Mudros, landing at Suvla Bay on 9 August 1915 : From 8 October 1915 the 5th. Battalion was amalgamated with the 4th.Battalion, Welsh Regiment to form the 4/5th. Welsh Regiment : Evacuated from Gallipoli to Egypt 18 December 1915, and from 10 February 1916, the two Battalions resumed their seperate identities : Remained in Egypt 1916-17 and moved to Palestine 1917-18, where on 30 July 1918 re-formed 4/5th.Battalion, Welsh Regiment : The recipient was renumbered as 240534 5th.Welsh Regiment (TF.) : In 1929 at Merthyr Tydfil, he married Dorothy Ingram, and died at Aberdare in 1976 at the age of 79years.) : Sold with verification and a very well polished Princess Mary Christmas 1914 Gift Tin : Scarce GVF - £565
