'Victory IX' and was taken on strength of 4th.(Reserve) Battalion, Royal Naval Division : Posted to 3rd.(Reserve) Battalion from 31 July 1916 and joined 'Hood' Battalion, BEF. in France from 23 November 1916 : Severely wounded in action by enemy shell splinter to left thigh on 23 April 1917 : Transferred to 3rd Reserve Battalion from 3 June 1917 and returned to 'Hood' Battalion, RND. from 3 September 1917 : Taken Prisoner of War on 31 December 1917 and held initially at Kriegsefangnen-Kommandantur Wahn, Limburg : Repatriated home following the Armistice and landed at Hull on on 23 November 1918 : Discharged on 27 April 1919 : Re-enlisted into the Royal Engineers for one year on 20 July 1921.) : Sold with verification, Original Parchment RNVR.
