(Royal Warwickshire) : (CHARLES MANN - Was born in the Parish of All Saints, Mildenhall, Suffolk around 1841 and attested for the 6th.Regiment at Bury St Edmunds on 4 January 1859 : He served in India for in excess of thirteen years during which time he took part in campaign against the Black Mountain tribes between 3 - 22 October 1868 : In 1876 he was diagnosed as suffering with varicose veins in both legs brought on by excess marching and the effects of the climate : On 12 May 1879 he was therefore discharged, after 'being found unfit for further service' : His intended place of residence was given as Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.) : Sold with verification, copy Service Papers and related research.
