(FREDERICK STUART ORCHARD - Born 10 March 1864 at Calcutta, India, the son of Frederick Simon Augustus Orchard. Joined the Civil Police in Burma at the age of 22 years and held non-gazetted appointments from 24 May 1886: Appointed Inspector of Police, Ava, from 31 August 1886; Appointed Assistant District Superintendent from 18 March 1887: Served in various districts throughout Burma including Ruby Mines; Myotha; Sagaing; Prome; Tharrawaddy and Mandalay between 1888 and 1900: Married at Bareilly on 11 January 1900: Last appointment was as District Superintendent of Police at Kyanaukse from 5 October 1904: Returned to England with his family on 4 February 1908 and is recorded on 1911 Census of England and Wales then residing at Hanworth, Middlesex and is shown as 'Retired Superintendent Imperial Police Service': Died 7 May 1926 at Springfield Hospital, Wandsworth, then resident at 25 Eaton Rise, Ealing, Middlesex.) : Sold with verification; copy Certificates for Birth and Marriage and career details: GVF - £650
